Barcelona tickets and the City
|
Off there for a few days at Easter. Luckily Barca are playing so am going to try and get tickets.
Does anyone have any tips about getting tickets and is it best to get them from viagogo or touts outside?
Any other tips for the city as a break and where to go and not to go.
Seeing Gaudi's Cathedral etc

No offence, but you really wont need to bother with the likes of viagogo...unless its the classico it wont be sold out...as mentioned by a few just book em online beforehand and pick up at the stadium or get em why your over there.

I'm taking the kids to the match with Roma. I just got tickets with viagogo because that was the reason for going as opposed to the City itself which I've seen many times before. If you're in the same boat then you really want certainty above all else.
If not and you're mainly going to visit the place, take a chance because going with someone like Viagogo is certainly not cheap. There's plenty to see and do in the city itself, especially if you like strange architecture. The Sagrada Familia is unlike any other building you're likely to see half finished though it is. The stadium tour is really worth doing as well, even Mrs. Neil liked it.

I did do a handy little guide on here a few years back....anyway, you can just rock up beforehand and get one or get one on the day...wont be sold out or order online and pick it up on the day. Jaguar bar and the one right opposite it are good places to have a booze beforehand, might bump into the Barca Hammers aswell.

Be aware that the beer in the stadium is NON ALCOHOL.
There are loads of coloured folk flogging cheap beer outside though.

Most of them kiosks on Las Ramblas sell them as well.
Stadium tour is well worth a visit if you have time, also the metro is really good, you can get 10 single trips for 10 EUR, and you can share the ticket.
Some good bars on the beach

Sagrada Familia is worth a visit. Get a bus sightseeing tour ticket. About £25 I think.

Go to the ticket office and buy one. Get there early to make sure, but I've never had any trouble getting one.
